We met at the Campbell house last night for our regularly scheduled Thursday meeting.  We had a meal of red beans and rice soup and continued our marriage enrichment series.

In light of the coming holiday, we had a discussion on Gary Chapman’s Five Love Languages.  They are:

Words of Affirmation
Quality Time
Acts of Service
Physical Touch

We talked about each of these in detail (read Chapman’s book for a full recapitulation) and took inventories to discover what our “love languages” are.  We also discussed that the inventory may simply be identifying which of the acts of love that you are not receiving on a regular basis.  We also handed out Romance Inventories, which are questionnaires that can be used to start conversation on the topic of romance.

After the surveys and questionnaires were completed and discussed, we prayed together and dispersed.
